Gragas Dojo (prototype game)
A downloadable game for Windows
Train with Gragas in an epic 1v1 battle in his dojo!
Joking aside, this is a prototype game I've been working on for a bit now. Its been helping me learn the basics of the Godot game engine and how to make enemy AI for battles and such.
I used League of Legends characters for these battles because they are already modeled, animated, voiced, and have spell animations I can use for their combat. Many spells are similar to their in game abilities, but some I reworked for this environment.
You play as Zatch Bell and possess the spells he has. I used him as the player character because my next project is a Zatch Bell fan game. It will be easier to make spells for him in my next game when I practice it here.
I plan to make 2-3 more fights in this game. Right now its just Malphite and Gragas. I do want to share it now as I am quite proud of how Malphite came out.
CONTROLS
Q/E: Rotate Camera
Arrow Keys: Move
F: Reload game
F3: Cheat! Moon jump, 100 health and 100 mana. Press again to toggle off
Space: Jump - Goomba stomp your dojo rival! You may also jump again in mid-air
1 key: Cast Zaker! Kiyo yells the spell and you fire in the front facing direction
2 key: Cast Zakerga! Kiyo yells the spell and you fire a faster beam
3 key: Cast Jikerdor! Kiyo yells the spell and you fire and orb. Opponents hit with it will become magnetized (Note - not available in the Gragas fight (Stage 1))
Esc: Close the game on most screens
ENEMY ABILITIES
All enemies may do a basic attack in close range
Gragas:
Barrel Roll: Throws a barrel on the ground, explodes after a few seconds. Caught in the blast and you will be slowed + take damage
Body Slam: Gragas charges forward, dealing damage and knocking up the player for a brief stun.
Barrel Drink: Gragas drinks from his barrel, resisting the urge to be stunned by attacks. Damage taken is also reduced, his next attack will do triple damage at the cost of losing his shield.
Explosive Cask: When the fight is closing in, Gragas may throw his ultimate barrel. When it hits the ground, it deals damage, stuns, blasts the player back, and slows if caught in the small radius.
Malphite:
Seismic Shard: Malphite moves the earth to hit you with a rolling rock. If it hits you it slows and deals damage. Has special properties in hard mode.
Thunder Clap: Malphite empowers his basic attacks for the next few seconds. They deal more damage, have more range, and come out faster.
Ground Slam: Malphite slams down on the ground with his mighty fist, knocking up everything around him for a brief stun, and dealing damage
Unstoppable Force: A super ground slam, Malphite charges into your direction (May or may not be accurate) and when he lands he does a ground slam immediately that slows when hit.
IMPORTANT!
Some machines may experience considerable lag when loading a stage or casting a spell. This seems to only happen for the first time you run the game though, it seems to run fine afterwards.
Known Bugs
Sometimes Malphite will completely miss his Unstoppable Force attack. I made it so he wont charge for longer then a second because he sometimes forgets how to reach his target and used to get stuck dashing.
Malphite is a little dumb, and cant walk around the metal pillars. Please be nice to him.
Hard mode is full of glitches, so dont be surprised to find something I missed. The biggest issues are the camera being mis-aligned during death animations, enemy animations going too fast or too slow, and enemies cycling through spells impossible quick. One time I got Malphite to hit me 50 times in one second, it never happened again, I never found out why, but dont worry about that :)
Gragas sometimes changes him mind mid cast of a spell, and will either cancel some spells or hide ones he is actively casting. Its kinda rare to happen, but Ive seen in more then a few times.
If you are hit by an attack while casting Zakerga! The next cast will look glitchy. The attack after that comes out fine however. Its something I will fix in a future update.
Credits
This is just credits for assets. I made a few of them. Unique graphics (such as title cards) the models of the cave arena and the coin at the end of a fight.

Unzip the Zip file, open the exe named GragasDojov0.3.1, not .console or .pck
